1,300-Mile 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500

This 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is finished in Rapid Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat over Ebony leather and Alcantara upholstery and is powered by a supercharged 5.2-liter Predator V8 mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes the Technology and Handling packages as well as launch control, a MagneRide damping system, Brembo brake calipers, black-finished 20″ wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, Recaro seats, and a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system linked to a SYNC 3 infotainment system with navigation. The car was purchased new by the seller in 2020 and subsequently modified with a JLT air intake and a Palm Beach Dyno performance tune. This GT500 has 1,300 miles and is now offered with a window sticker, a uCAL handheld tuner, the removed factory air intake, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean Illinois title in the seller’s name.

The GT500 received restyled front and rear bodywork with aerodynamic details including a Shelby-branded front splitter and side skirts. This example is finished in Rapid Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat (D4) with Ebony vinyl over-the-top stripes and matching tape stripes. The Handling Package added front splitter wickers and a rear spoiler with a Gurney flap. Additional equipment includes a functional hood vent, hood pins, quadruple exhaust outlets, automatic HID headlights, and LED taillights with sequential turn signals.

Black-finished 20″ alloy wheels are wrapped in 305/30 front and 315/30 rear Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. Braking is handled by two-piece ventilated discs with red-finished Brembo calipers at all four corners. The car is equipped with a MagneRide damping system, an independent rear suspension, electric power steering, and a launch control system with a line lock.

The cabin features Recaro front seats trimmed in Ebony leather with Alcantara inserts, gray accents, and embroidered Cobra insignias on the backrests. Carbon-fiber trim adorns the dashboard, and a serialized plaque is located above the glove compartment. Amenities include dual-zone automatic climate control, a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot, Intelligent Access with a push-button start, and a SYNC 3 infotainment system with an 8″ touchscreen. The Technology Package added voice-activated navigation, a blind-spot monitoring system with cross-traffic alert, and a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system.

The Alcantara- and leather-trimmed steering wheel is equipped with paddle shifters and fronts a configurable 12″ digital instrument cluster, which includes a 220-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 7,500-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges. Analog oil pressure and oil temperature gauges are positioned in the center stack. The digital odometer indicates 1,300 miles.

The supercharged 5.2-liter Predator V8 features an air-to-liquid intercooler, an engine oil cooler, and a cast aluminum intake manifold. An oil catch can was fitted as part of the Handling Package, and the engine has been further modified with a JLT air intake and a performance tune from Palm Beach Dyno. The oil was changed in November 2022.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and a Torsen differential with 3.73:1 gearing. A transmission oil cooler was equipped from the factory.

The window sticker lists factory colors, options, and a total MSRP of $83,355. The removed factory air intake and a uCAL handheld tuner will accompany the car.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Illinois. A duplicate title was issued in December 2021, and an open manufacturer emission recall related to the transmission control module (TCM) communication is listed in August 2022.
