SYRACUSE N.Y. — SUNY Chancellor John B. King, Jr. visited Onondaga Community College Friday to speak about the college's future with students and staff members.
Chancellor King moderated a panel conversation with state and industry experts to address New York State's opportunity to become a global leader in semiconductor technology.

“We've got to be the place that is training folks who need associates degrees or bachelors at Micron.” said King.
Onondaga county has already set aside five million dollars to help the college build a clean room to train students who want to become technicians at the future Micron plant.
