This place is easy to get an appointment. You can pretty much walk in at any time. However, they are the slowest place around. If you go for a manicure and pedicure expect to be there for a few hours.

This place is not it.
I went in for a gel manicure and pedicure. I had a $25 gift card for a pedicure that was gifted to me and every girl in my office.
Somehow my coworker's (who went with me) gift card worked, but mine didn't. The lady said that I used my card already to which I explained this was my first ever visit. That's why my coworker and I came together. She didn't acknowledge that maybe it could be an error on their end (maybe it wasn't activated correctly when it was purchased), but she said I have to pay. I asked for a discount... She gave me $10 off otherwise she said the $25 would "come out of (her) salary".
My manicure was poorly executed. The rough skin around my nails and my cuticles were never trimmed. I asked her to please trim them, and she said she was afraid that I would bleed and quickly and poorly did 1 nail and moved on. No hand massage was given, not even a quick back massage. The only attempt at a massage was when she poured boiling hot lotion on the back of my hand and rubbed it in real quick and called it a manicure. She put cuticle oil on my right hand but forgot and never put it on my left. Overall, it was a very fast, and sloppy manicure. I didn't comment in person on these things, but the pictures of my manicure speak for itself. I shouldn't have to say this in person, these things should be routine during a manicure.
My pedicure, however was great. The guy who gave me my pedicure did a good job. He shaped my toe nails very nicely. He trimmed away the dead skin. I was happy with my pedicure. The chairs for the pedicures are very nice, they gave a good back massage.
I always am a generous tipper, but I was very upset at the poor customer service and the approach and lack of care held by my manicurist, so I decided I wasn't going to tip her (I did tip my pedicurist who was great). But after I paid and was about to leave, she raced after me as I left, inquiring about where her tip was (completely unprofessional) ESPECIALLY after my coworker just GENEROUSLY tipped her a $10 tip for a $30 manicure.
The salon obliged to all Covid precautions, and the salon itself and their tools are clean. Other than that, I would not recommend this salon. I will not be returning.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sam G.Middletown, NJ584254056Dec 8, 2017
Stopped in for a quick gel manicure, clean place and gentleman did a nice job but I have to say it felt a little weird having four asian men sitting there chatting watching over the woman, not sure if they worked there or owned the place or what but one of them kept coughing right next to me without covering his mouth yuck!
I don't live in the area but it was fine if you don't mind paying $33 for a basic gel mani with no hand massage at the end...geez at least give me the rub down lol!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Ilana H.Merrick, NY283101Jul 15, 2021
Showed the nail tech a picture of a manicure I wanted . They gave me something so different and unprofessional looking. Nobody should leave a nail salon looking like this . They would NOT even give me a refund and you can see the dirt under my nails !!!

I usually do not go out of my way to write a negative review, but here we go.
I grew up in Plainview and currently live in Manhattan. I went home to visit my family and my mother raved about how she heard "bliss nails gives the BEST pedicures!" I decided to take my mothers advice, and headed to the salon for a pedicure. The pedicure was standard. Nothing out of the ordinary. While I was there, I was debating adding on a gel manicure. In my gut, I knew I should have just waited and gone to my regular place in Manhattan. I should have trusted my instinct because my current gel nails look absolutely atrocious.
While I was getting my gel nails painted, a fight between a customer and a manicurist broke out. The fight drew a lot of attention, and at first I blamed this for why my gel nails completely fell apart within the first 24 hours. (See picture of wicked(ish) color).
I went back the next day after the gel polish on 3 of my finger nails completely came off. I requested to have my nails redone. The manicurist originally wanted to just replace the 3 fingers- but I figured a fault with the polish since that NEVER happens to my gel nails after 24 hours. The salon reluctantly redid my nails. I got a completely new color (see navy color). The salon did not charge me. HOWEVER, fast forward 2 days later- my nails are all completely chipped again.
I am very disappointed with the quality of my gel manicure. I really hate to leave a review like this on a neighborhood salon, but now I'm stuck in Manhattan with these horrid nails!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kaeli A.Merrick, NY52717Feb 14, 2017
Just had such an awesome experience here! I called ahead because I knew I was cutting it close to closing time but she assured me it wouldn't be any trouble for me to come in. I got a gel manicure and it was fast and great quality, and she was so sweet even though I ended up being there 10 minutes past closing time! She never even made me feel rushed. I know how hard it can be to work in the service industry especially late and I really appreciated her amazing down to earth attitude throughout the whole experience. She helped me pick out my colors and was making light conversation. This is for sure my new place and I will be recommending it to my friends after this. As for the reviews on here that mentioned it being dirty I went at the end of the day and it was immaculate so maybe they caught them on an off day.

I had the most relaxing pedicure with Sam. He took his time and really focused on massaging my feet and calves. I don't mind having a man do my pedicure. In fact, I prefer it. The polish came out nice and a bonus massage at the end was icing on the cake.

This was my first time there & trust me it will definitely be my last time!!
I went in for a full set of tips a guy named Kevin did my nails I showed him a picture of exactly what I wanted, I also wanted them a certain length, he did the exact opposite of what I wanted. when I expressed how unhappy I was, he got very angry with me, started talking about me in his language. He stood up & threw down the nail filer & basically threw a fit! The owner asked me if I would come back another time & they would fix it.... I was like what???? are you kidding me??? I was so upset my nails looked so disgusting I was so unhappy they were unfinished & they expected me to pay them in full which I thought was absolutely ridiculous considering I had to go to another place to have them taken off & replaced. I gave her $40 & walked out in tears! I will never ever go back to that place again!!! I was embarrassed by the way I was treated!!! They were so rude, so unprofessional an absolute disgrace!!!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Danielle C.Syosset, NY21Mar 29, 2019
I've been coming to this salon for several years with nothing but positive experiences. Today however was something different. I received a manicure from a man named KEVIN who painted a few fingers on my right hand before I realized the polish looked very different then the one I had chosen. When I asked him if I could pick something different he threw his nail tools down and proceeded to angrily do my nails while yelling at me in front of the entire nail salon. My hands were shaking I was so uncomfortable in the situation. Several other customers commented on his behavior towards me and how disgusting and unprofessional it was.
I will never go back there again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Melissa B.East Northport, NY01Nov 4, 2018
I have been coming here for 10 years and will not risk changing salons (despite having moved away from the area).
They are respectful of your time and your appointments, provide high quality services, and have a friendly staff. The owner is always listening to customer suggestions and making improvements to better serve them.
**To anyone who has written about a bad experience here: try making an appointment ahead of time. Walking in without one will run you the risk of having to wait and become impatient (I would say that's pretty obvious though)**
The gel manicures are always top notch, and the pedicures are extremely relaxing with a spa-like feel. I look forward to my appointments each time I have one scheduled.
I highly recommend this nail salon to anyone looking for a high quality experience!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
