Hinata Hyuga is one of the main supporting characters in Naruto. She is part of Team Kurenai and a Chunin level ninja in Konohagakure.

Bio

Hinata is the eldest descendants of the main house of the Hyuga clan. Supposedly, this means that Hinata is a very important part of the Hyuga clan but signs of specialty was only shown during flashbacks. Neji Hyuga is a cousin of Hinata, being the son of Hinata's father's twin brother. Like his father, Neji is supposedly bounded to protect Hinata as long as he lives but this part was only stressed during Neji's introduction to the anime but soon went away. Hinata despite being in the head family isn't the most talented of the Hyuga clan. In fact, Neji far succeeds her in talent and skill. By this, Hinata looks up to Neji as they grow up.

Personality

Hinata is an introvert and seems to act shyly everywhere though especially around Naruto Uzumaki whom she likes ever since childhood. There are occasions shown where she goes out of her timid nature and is shown usually around Naruto to protect him or impress him. She is a caring person with a good sense of morality.

Her most significant ability is her Kekkei Genkai, Byakugan. It is an ocular jutsu that makes her iris naturally expanded with a greyish color. With it, she is able to see everything around her in a given radius. This makes her a great ninja for a bodyguard, where she would be able to notice an approaching enemy before hand.

The taijutsu specialty of the Hyuga clan, the Gentle Fist is a short range taijutsu that aims at blocking all the chakra pathways of the opposing ninja inabling him/her to release any chakra thus inabling him from using any ninjutsus or genjutsus and through the contact also numbing the person which lowers their abilities in taijutsu. Hinata during Part I though was unable to fully control her gentle fist. She is only able to partially damage the person chakra pathways rather than disabling it. In Part II, she was shown to have greatly improved her gentle fist even in creating her own form of it, the Gentle Step Twin Lion Fists.
