After her rehab stint last fall, Samaire Armstrong says she’s feeling great – and focusing on her health and her family.

“It’s been getting better and better,” the Dirty Sexy Money star, 27, told PEOPLE Monday at the Bra Boys premiere in West Hollywood. “There were some tough times, but I’m in a place where I’ve got really great people in my life. I’m on a really clean and clear path. I feel really good.”

Armstong entered an outpatient facility last October to deal with “personal issues,” but she continued work on the ABC show.

Recently, “I’ve had a lot of time to spend with my family,” added Armstrong, who has also starred in The O.C. and Entourage. “I’ve had a lot of time to focus on myself …. It’s always about staying on the right path.”

The actress is also putting in long hours at the gym. “I’ve been involved in exercising and working with a circuit trainer on cycling and the elliptical, which is so much fun,” she said. “Just long workouts.”

Last year’s rough patch also helped put things into perspective, Armstrong explained: “You see what you have the potential to lose. And you see how you feel when you focus on making yourself feel better.”

As for Just My Luck costar Lindsay Lohan, who has logged multiple stints in rehab, “I can totally relate,” said Armstrong. “The only difference is that I know you can only have success if you want to change. I can’t make a statement on whether or not they want to. But I know you can only change if you want to.”
