Place Pigalle To Close, Napa Restaurant Month, More!

HAYES VALLEY - Place Pigalle bar has lost its lease and a turnover of ownership and concept is expected in the New Year. Although porn site Kink.com had a shoot here in July and it was rumored this was the reason for the impending shutter, it turns out the two events are not associated. Other rumors that Kink is looking to buy a bar space near the SF Armory in the Mission remain afloat. [GrubStreet]

OPENING REPORT - We've got a new wine bar for ya. Barrique is America’s first private-label wine venue to serve from a custom-made Cask Delivery System. So you can now drink wine poured directly from the barrel in Jackson Square. On the way are more barrels (a.k.a. "barriques"), beer on tap and artisanal nibbles. [Foodie 411]

NAPA VALLEY - The first Napa Valley Restaurant Month will take the region for the length of January. Over 30 restaurants like Bouchon, Oenotri and La Toque are offering special deals and menus, all of which are detailed here. Just say "Napa Valley Restaurant Month" to redeem. [EaterWire]

HAYES VALLEY EXTRA - Justin Simoneaux is cooking another Boxing Room three-course preview dinner ($35) in the Absinthe main dining room on the evening of January 10th. We've been told seafood gumbo is on the menu and there are still reservations available as of today. Reservations. [EaterWire]
