Aglia tau moth, or the Tau Emperor, is a European moth.
Its wingspan is 64-80 mm.
Though these moths fly mostly at night, males look for females at daytime, too.
Adult aglia tau moths do not eat at all.
The wings in this pattern can be woven using square or herringbone stitch. You can also loom them.
I wove these wings using herringbone stitch.
The body is woven using a sort of tubular square stitch.
You’ll need some fishing line with diameter 0,15 mm, a beading needle size 11-15 and 15 colours of seed beads size 11.
