Tajrish Bazaar is one of the oldest bazaars in Shemiranat district, Tehran. It is constructed in 6 floors and more than 700 shops. A verity of handicrafts such as Termeh (a type of Iranian handwoven cloth), dishes made of copper, Potteries as well as, different types of dried fruit, cookies, saffron, fruits and pickled vegetables can be found in Tajrish Bazaar. Every day, many foreign and domestic tourists visit this bazaar. Besides, Iranians who have emigrated abroad always refer to it as one of the most memorable parts of northern Tehran. The tiles used in the shops, are skillfully decorated and recalls traditional Persian architecture. The same with other traditional bazaars, Tajrish Bazaar features mosques and an indoor place for selling fruits and vegetables. This bazaar that is a smaller case of The Grand Bazaar in Tehran, is a covered one and connects Tajrish and Sarpol (two old neighborhood in Tehran).
