Recommend “Repeater mode”, more convenient and faster

Easy setup in 4 steps：

1. Plug the extender into a power outlet near your router. Wait about 20s until the first power-on light of the Repeater slowly flash;

2. Go to your phone's WiFi connection page and select "Repeater-XXX" to connect. (If you can't find the name of the repeater WIFI, it is recommended to turn on Airplane Mode on your phone and then turn off Airplane Mode.) ；

3. Connect to "Repeater-XXX" and then jump directly to the browser page to set the WIFI information of the repeater, note that the repeater password set inside needs to be the same as the router's WIFI password!!! If you can't jump automatically, enter 192.168.11.1 in this browser;

4. If it still doesn't work, there is another way, you can plug in the Internet cable through the computer and enter the IP address (192.168.11.1) on the computer browser to configure.

1、Q: Mobile phone settings or computer settings?

A: Mobile phone or computer can be set. Recommend cell phone setting, more convenient and fast.

2. Q: Can't find the wifi name of the repeater?

A：Press and hold the RESET button for 5 seconds on the side of the repeater using the card pin included in the box, then open the airplane mode on your phone and then close it, and search the network again.

3. Q: Why didn't it jump to the repeater setting page?

A: First, make sure the cell phone (or computer) is connected to the "Repeater-XXX" WIFI, if it is not automatically jumped to the settings page, manually enter 192.168.11.1 to enter the settings.

4. Q: Why is there still no network for the repeater after the setup is completed?

A: Check whether the WIFI password set by the repeater is the same as the WIFI password of the superior router, this must be consistent.

5. Q: Is the signal unstable and intermittent?

A: The distance between the repeater and the router is too far, you should reduce the distance between them.

The World Needs More Birds

This was easy to set up and works much better than my Netgear extender in terms of when it works, I never get booted off Teams or Zoom meetings in my home office. The downside is that the connection to the main router seems to be unstable. For the first three weeks, I had to re-set it everyday before starting work (I start at 4AM!). Sometimes, I had to go through the re-set process several times before it would reconnect. I thought this somehow resolved itself because after about a month of use, it remained stable for 3 weeks without the need for any resets. I was about to write a glowing review about this, but then the issue of needing to reset it every day started up again this week. The really annoying aspect is that the reset often takes multiple tries. This is a real hassle, because the extender is in another room from my office so I have to go running back between the extender and my computer to go through the set up. Yesterday, it wouldn't reset at all and I had to rely on the Netgear extender, but it is working today. I just wish this was more reliable, because when it is working, it does a great job.

Needed help to allow my router cover the whole condo. This little gem was very easy to set up and allows me to watch YouTube etc throughout the condo and outside on the decks (which was the real reason for getting it). I found the price great and the setup a surprise. Surprise in that it was so simple. My eyes aren’t the greatest and the text on the included instructions was in very tiny print but the whole think is on Amazon’s page and the seller’s page so no worries. For my needs, this was just what was needed.
