For being such an infamous release, the sound quality is pretty poor. The bonus tracks at the end of the CD are mixed so only the vocals and drums are audible. This does, however, provide a good look into the evolution of the band. If you are a die-hard Mayhem fan, this CD is an excellent piece of the band's history. If you're new to them, I'd recommend a studio album first.
