Costa Brava is located on the coast of Catalonia. Even though it does not have exact borders, it can be considered, beginning from the town of Blanes all the way to the french border, including the parts of Girona, which are located on the coast. In the past, the regions main business was fishing. However, when entrepreneurs saw the potential of making it a touristic place, due to the sandy beaches, great weather and nature, in Costa Brava, many hotels were quickly built. That being said, it is clear that the hospitality industry in the region is thriving, making it a great opportunity to gain some experience in the industry. 

 

The greatness of Costa Brava

The region is situated in a very beautiful location, surrounded by rich nature. Something worth seeing is Tossa de Mar. It is a small resort with sandy beaches and architecture from the medieval ages. Villa Vela is a town which is surrounded by walls. It was built in the 1100s, however it was reinforced in the 1500s, in order to be protected from African pirates. Wine tours are also very popular. The area of Costa Brava has produced women since Roman times. You can take a walk through the vineyards and taste the famous Cava produced in the region. Places such as At Castillo de Perelada and Celler Can Sais offer a unique experience. They offer something called wine therapy. Wine and grapes are used to create a SPA experience. Animation and Reception Internships

We are currently looking for interns in the animation and reception sectors. If you choose to do your internship in animation some of your responsibilities will be to organize and create fun activities, talk to the guests and inform them about your program, organize tournaments during the day, entertain the children during mini disco and others. An internship at reception includes management of room reservations and other accommodation services, communication and customer service in the hotel and tourism industry, role of the middle management in the prevention of occupational hazards, management of accommodation departments, and others. All of our positions are full time. The minimum language requirements are B2 in English and B1 in Spanish. Accommodation, meals and monthly compensation are provided. Students might be eligible for the Erasmus plus grant, however this needs to be clarified with the university in which they are enrolled.
