Latest Information on Smart Forfour

The supermini Smart ForFour was first introduced in 2004 and taken off markets by 2006 due to slow sales. It was reintroduced in 2014 as a second generation model. The current model shares a platform and is manufactured alongside the third generation Renault Twingo in Novo Mesto, Slovenia. It also shares some mechanical underpinings with the smaller, third generation, Smart ForTwo. Second generation models have an improved ride and improved noise isolation. The Smart cars are powered by a three-cylinder 999cc engine. For better performance there is also a Forfour Brabus variant that is powered by a turbocharged Mitsubishi 4G15 engine that produces 130 kW.
