Q: Questioncan this be laid down to fit in the back of a small suv?(2 answers)
A: AnswerHi, Jerry. This unit can definitely be laid down, however, it would need to be left top rest for at least 24 hrs prior to plug it to the electricity, once you install it. Alexander G. - Insignia SupportAnswered by InsigniaCustomerSupport
- A: AnswerI thought the same thing, but it's just to show size and clearance of different items inside the freezer. More for a visual representation than anything else

- A: AnswerMaybe twice a year, take out the food and put it into a cooler. Unplug the freezer. Put a pan of boiling water on the bottom, close the door for around 30 minutes to loosen the ice, then open the freezer and most of the ice should be loose enough to wipe it out. Put some old towels on the floor around the front of the freezer to soak up the melted ice DO NOT PICK AT THE ICE WITH ANY SHARP KNIFE OR TOOL TO LOOSEN IT UP. Years ago, I did that once and it punctured the wall of the freezer and it was beyond repair. Just wait for the hot water to melt it.

Q: QuestionCan this fit a large turkey on the shelf?(1 answer)
A: AnswerYes, I put a 24 pound turkey in the freezer last weekend without having to move any shelves. I have owned the freezer since September and it’s smaller, upright size holds everything that I want it to. We are a family of two.Answered by Terry
- A: AnswerOur freezer is VERY quiet, something must be wrong with your freezer. I just love the amount of space I have.

Do not turn it all the way up. Read review on why
Was going to buy a small chest freezer like the one that I had for 10 years. but found this stand up at a unbelievable price. Have had it about a month now. The reason I went with this most of all is the fact it’s a stand up unit and fits in my kitchen beside the fridge . Some complain that it dies shortly after purchase. 2-3 months. But what I noticed is that in the ones with pictures is the owners have turned the dial all the way up. DO NOT do that on a mechanical dial freezer. It will run non stop in that setting. You will burn the motor out on the compressor. I left mine set just where it was on the day I purchased it. Look at my pictures to see where mine is set. And it freezes just fine. It does not need to be set at maximum setting. we had a 24 lbs turkey in it for thanksgiving. And it will hold a 1/4 cow. But that will be the limit on what a 7 cubic foot freezer will hold.

Amazing Value Freezer
Great value for money. It's probably smaller than most people would like, but the price-per-cubic-foot is incredible, especially if you get it on sale and/or an open box unit like we did. The upright form factor is less efficient than a chest freezer, but it's much easier to see and rearrange the contents. The only downsides are relatively minor: the top shelf is so small that it's nearly impractical, and a unit like this designed for dark garages and basements needs an interior light. But overall, it's a fantastic choice.

Great freezer
I have loved everything about this freezer so far! Great size so it fits in my home office easily. It also has great spacing between the shelves. The only downside has been that the racks taper a bit in width from the front to the back of them, so things I planned on fitting exactly don’t. It’s not a huge taper, but the front half of the shelf is wider than the back half, so if you’re hoping for something to fit exactly from side to side take that into account. Freezes well, super quiet and works great!
