Native to United States, Mexico, Central America, the West Indies and South America, the Guppy Grass (Najas guadalupensis) is a freshwater plant species in the family Najadaceae. It's is an elegant & beautiful freshwater plant for beginners or longtime aquarium, aquascape, planted tank, & pond hobbyists.
Its a very easy & fast growing aquatic plant & It does very well with fish, shrimp, snails or any of your aquarium or pond critters. Keeping aquatic critters in your pond or aquarium will boost the growth of plants, by effectively remove waste & using it as a fertilizer. It is mainly used to fill your aquarium of pond with plant matter & is more utilitarian than other plants. It does best in a tank with a sponge filter or where where also a sponge pre filter is used over the intake. It will start to root and collect itself in a more upright position as it starts to root and grow and looks very nice. Such an extravagant plant that would be a great addition to any collection.
