Harry Potter's Jamie Waylett appeared to have the world at his feet after he landed the role of Vincent Vrabbe in the wizard world.

The star appeared in the first six films - becoming a recognisable face worldwide - and more roles were expected of the young star.

However, in 2009 he was axed from the cult franchise after he was caught growing cannabis plants in his home.

He was subsequently sentenced to 120 hours of community service, which marked the beginning of the end of his movie career.

In 2012, the former actor was put behind bars for two years after he was found guilty of violent disorder when he downed a bottle of champagne stolen during the London riots.

He was snapped holding a petrol bomb, however, he was cleared of intending to destroy or damage any property.

It became evident to fans and friends that the child star had struggled with fame and he reportedly turned to cannabis as an outlet.

Despite his early fame, the actor's life seemed to spiral downwards.

Now, however, the star has undergone a huge transformation with his life taking a brand new direction.

Jamie, now aged 34, has taken various steps to rebuild his life.

He has been spotted offering personal video messages on the popular celebrity website, Cameo, for fans and loved ones.

Speaking on his page, the actor said: "What's going on people, it's your boy Jamie Waylett.

"I played Vincent Crabbe in the Harry Potter movies one to six and I'm very excited to have the opportunity to give the people and loved ones in your life that you care about a special message. That's it from me, I look forward to hearing from you. Slytherin for life."

The video sees the actor sporting a face tattoo, showing a string of different sized stars above his eyebrow.

Harry Potter fans were recently sent into a frenzy after Netflix UK finally added all eight films to the streaming platform. The string of movies – the first of which was released back in 2011 – star big names such as Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint, and are one of the most successful film franchises of all-time.
