Daredevil Season 3 Is Coming Much Sooner Than You Think

His name is Daredevil, and he’s here to say, “It’s easy to punch crooks in a Catholic way.”

Maybe it's weird to say this, given how messy last season was, but I kind of miss Daredevil. Of the five Netflix/Marvel shows we have right now, it's the most openly superhero of the bunch. Daredevil is, after all, the only dude there who actually wears an honest-to-God costume, you know? The series has also been the only one to truly impress with its action (the costume probably helps with that, making stunt doubles much easier to integrate), which is a great change of pace from all the husky grumbling about saving this city.

While we don't know much yet about Daredevil season 3, there's just enough there to make us hope for a turnaround: namely, the return of Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk, and the news that the season will be inspired by Born Again, the Daredevil story by Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli widely regarded as the character's best. It's a story about what happens when Matt Murdock is brought to rock bottom by Wilson Fisk, a comic that's both very raw and extremely Catholic, which is something that the Daredevil promos on Twitter have been leaning into heavily.

But now we finally have a release date, and on October 19, we can "let the devil out" and watch Charlie Cox once again don his faux-ninja blindfold outfit to deal out some whoop-ass. Until then, we've got a teaser with plenty of bloody Charlie Cox, and just the slightest touch of Wilson Fisk's criminally dapper suit.
