Description:
Mating fourteen-spotted Ladybird, Propylea quatuordecimpunctata. Small yellow Ladybird with 14 spots, commonly marked with a cross on wings. Beetles are 3.5-4.5 mm. Melanic form is black with yellow spots. Males are smaller than females. Males have a white pronotum with black markings. 14-punctata is entomophagous, feed on aphidss, beetle and butterfly larvae.
