Variable Burnet, Zygaena ephialtes. A black moth with colorful spots: red, yellow, white or mixed. larval host plants: Coronilla varia, Coronilla emerus, Hippocrepis. Habitats include nutrient-poor grasslands, abandoned vineyards. railway embankments, scrubby terrain and dry fields and embankments. Adult moths fly June-August.
