The long distance relationship that kept them apart also prompted George Clooney and Stacy Keibler to break up by phone recently.
Sources told TMZ that the couple had spent three months separated, with Clooney shooting a movie in Europe while Keibler was in Los Angeles working on her new TV show. With Clooney scheduled to remain in Berlin until December, Keibler decided time and distance were just too much for her to keep on a hook one of People magazine’s Most Beautiful Men Alive.
One source told TMZ, “Both sides realized there is no way to have a relationship when you don’t see each other.”

Clooney reportedly wished Keibler nothing but the best. “He was very respectful, adult about the situation,” the source told TMZ. “He reminded Stacy that they were friends before they dated and wants to be friends after.”
Trotting out the old “let’s be friends” line, is he?
Sources also squashed the rumors that the split occurred because Keibler was pressuring Clooney to have children.
