Singer and actress Christina Milian announced on social media Sunday that’s she’s pregnant with her second child.
Milian, 37, a Jersey City native who reached the top of the music charts in the early 2000s, is expecting her first child with boyfriend Matt Pokora. She shared a photo on Instagram and Twitter showing the couple and a sonogram of the baby, due sometime next year.
“New release 2020! What a blessing!” Milian captioned the photo.
Pokora, 33, is a Polish-French singer and songwriter. He and Milian have been dating since 2017.
Milian has a 9-year-old daughter, Violet, with ex-husband The-Dream, a producer, singer and songwriter.
“La relève est en route!,” or “the next generation is on the way,” Pokora posted on Instagram, sharing the same photo that Milian did.
“Félicitations mon ami!!!" (congratulations my friend), famous friend Ricky Martin posted in reply.
After appearing on the Ja Rule song “Between Me and You” in 2000, Milian signed to Def Jam when she was 19. Her debut album, “Christina Milian,” produced the 2001 singles “AM to PM” and “When You Look At Me.” Milian’s 2004 album, “It’s About Time,” gave her a successful single in “Dip it Low,” which hit No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100. Her last studio album, “So Amazin',” released in 2006, reached No. 11 on the Billboard 200.
Milian’s acting roles have included a star turn in the 2003 film “Love Don’t Cost a Thing" alongside ex-boyfriend Nick Cannon, a part in the star-studded 2005 F. Gary Gray film “Be Cool" with John Travolta and Uma Thurman, and appearances on the Hulu series “East Los High,” Crackle series “The Oath,” Fox’s “Family Guy” and Fox’s John Stamos series “Grandfathered.”
Milian will next star in the Netflix film “Falling Inn Love," to be released on August 29. She plays a corporate executive who wins an inn in New Zealand that needs some renovations. Romance ensues when “a handsome contractor” enters the picture.
