Alpine strawberries are generally grown for ornament rather than for food production. They make an adorable and delicious groundcover with traditional strawberry foliage, tiny white flowers, and berries. Leaves have been used in folk remedies for ages. We grow them in the small woodland next to our driveway and enjoy them each time we collect the mail in summer.

Golden Alexandria Strawberry has chartreuse foliage and tiny, tasty red berries.
