Purple Dead-Nettle

Decumbent to erect, hairy to smooth. Square stems are branched from base. Leaves opposite, middle and upper with short petioles, round to egg-shaped, with heart-shaped base, toothed. Flowers under leaves, upper lip hood-shaped, lower lip with 3 small lobes. Pink to purple, often with spots. Grows in disturbed soils, meadows, gardens, at low elevations.
