Netflix has an important message for anyone who needs to hear it, but especially teens who are making TikToks about the beloved Australian mermaid show H2O: Just Add Water. On Thursday, Netflix tweeted out the vital PSA, writing, "I don't know which TikTok teens need to hear this but all three seasons of H2O: Just Add Water are now streaming." The tweet racked up thousands of likes and comments within hours of it being posted as Twitter users applauded the streamer's brilliant comment on a recent TikTok trend.

The trend in question is all about the aforementioned 2006 TV series H2O, which stars The Originals alums Phoebe Tonkin and Claire Holt along with Cariba Heine. The show follows three teenage girls who develop the ability to transform into mermaids after ending up in a pool of under a dormant volcano just as a full moon passes above them. Following that experience, the trio finds out that after 10 seconds of coming into contact with water, they turn into mermaids. This proves to be quite a nuisance, because in practically in every episode they inevitably get wet in one way or another.

The plot point has become somewhat of a running joke, and teens have turned to TikTok to parody the girls' supernatural condition. One notable example shows a TikTok user melodramatically rushing to wipe some water off their leg after getting sprayed with a lawn sprinkle. In another popular TikTok, one girl offers another a glass of water and she freaks out before diving into a pool.

The H2O TikTok craze shows no signs of slowing down just yet. Thank goodness Netflix is looking out for everyone, especially the H2O content creators, by alerting us to the fact that we can stream the show ASAP.
