A Very Caring Big Sister

                                    

                                              
Timeskip Three Years Later
                          
It's been three fucking years and I still can't control my demonic powers. I was currently outside training hard. I've got to get stronger.
                          
"You're pushing yourself too hard"  

                          
I turned to see Akame looking at me concerned. I sighed in frustration before falling to my knees. I heard her approach me.
                          
"I just don't know what else to do. I'm a demon who can't even control his own powers. I just feel so...useless" I said sadly.
                          
I felt Akame put her hand on my shoulder. I looked up and saw a warm smile on her face.
                          
"Demon or not, there's still only so much you can do on your own. Let me ask you this. Would Hinata want you pushing yourself this far?" She asked causing me to look down.
                          
She's right. If I pushed myself this far with Hinata around she would be worried for my well-being. I sighed once again before standing up.
                          
"You're right. I just want to be able to protect the people I care about" I said earning a smile from my mentor.
                          
"Don't worry, I'm sure you'll get the hang of your powers eventually. Come on, I bet you're hungry after all of that."
                          
As soon as she said that, my stomach growled confirming what she said. I blushed in embarrassment earning a giggle in response.
                          
Timeskip
Nightmare begins
                          
I looked around in horror. The village was destroyed. My friends and loved ones were all hurt. My sensei was dead. 
                          
"Hinata?!" 
                          
I started searching all over for her. Just then, I felt a massive gust of wind. I ran in the direction of the source.
                          
When I got there, I saw an orange haired guy fighting Hinata. Just then, she was knocked into the air and came crashing down with a thud. I tried running to her but I couldn't move for some reason.
The guy then stabbed her right in front of me and I couldn't do anything.
                          
Nightmare ends
                          
I sat up screaming. I was sweating and breathing heavily. I felt tears running down my face.
                          
"YN?" 
                          
I looked up and saw Akame in her pajamas just outside my door. I didn't respond or anything. I just tried calming down.
                          
I heard Akame approach my bed. She sat down beside me and hugged me. She had her chin resting gently on the top of my head as she started rubbing my back rocking back and forth.
                          
"Shh. It was just a bad dream." she said softly.
                          
"It felt all to real." I said calming down a bit.
                          
"What was it about?" She asked.
                          
I told her everything that happened in the dream. She didn't say a thing. All she did was listen and that's all I needed. After was done explaining, I decided to try to go back to sleep.
                          
Akame surprised me by laying down beside me. I looked at her confused by her actions. She saw this and smiled softly.
                          
"In case you have another nightmare like that, I want to be there for you." she said causing me to smile.
                          
She then pulled me closer to her and started gently stroking my hair. A feeling of comfort and protection washed over me. She eventually started humming a gentle tune as I drifted off to sleep. For once in my life, I felt like nothing could hurt me. 
                          
"Thank you, big sister"
