It is presented beautifully though, and Galway's title cover of Jarre's "Magnetic Fields part 4" is amazing.
Anyway, lots of memories playing with my best friend, taking it in turns to see who can progress the furthest or even beat Blues!
Hate that Zzap! 64 never gave it the praise it so obviously deserves. One of the rare times when the humble CBM64 outdoes the mighty Arcade version.
It has some nice presentation, a Jarre soundtrack and good sprite graphics. But underneath the gameplay is suckage of the finest quality.
3/10.
Unlike many games of this period, I'd say that time has been good to YKF almost in spite of itself. It's simplicity, frivolity & slight silliness mean folk are happy to pick it up and take it at face value nowadays. I know I do and it's good slice of arcade fun with good sound and colourful graphics. Nothing more.
My description above may not make sense but try playing it casually and see what I mean.
it is not a tear drop...
Oolong was a master of this art and he had to be when in competition against Fan Girl, Club Boy and Chain Lad. I particularly liked the grating sounds that accompanied the start?? Of each fight.
Good stuff!
This is such a simple but fun game... You may wake me up in the middle of the night for this one.
But that Fan woman drives me nuts... I only kicked her ass 1 time and I lost about 80 times... Grrrrrrr.
peace out !
One of best loading track by Galway! A MUST-HEAR it and get goose pimples ;v)
Each level you face a different adversary, each of them masters a different weapon. This game is pure class!!!
